Vince DelMonte No Nonsense Muscle Building Review

I started weight training over 20 years ago as a teenager, I was a little on the chubby side (not really fat, just no muscle either) I didn't use any supplements, training regimes or anything like that, bought some free weights (about 70KGs worth) from one of those catalogue companies that you pay for the products over 40 weeks and used the weight training guide supplied with the weights to weight train (think they were Weider weights, but a long time ago).

After a year I'd built an OK looking body, not a body builder or anything amazing and still lacked definition, but I was far happier taking my T-shirt off in summer and have to admit between the age of 17 and 20 years old it helped a LOT with meeting girls :)

At 20 years old I met a girl who I fell for and married and life got very busy, (three kids) so I stopped weight training completely (big mistake in hindsight). I'd always kept the overall look of a good body, but after all these year (will be 40 next month!) there was a bit of middle aged spread.

So a few months back bought some free weights and started weight training again and it was HARD going! I was loosing the will to continue when after various Google searches stumbled on Vince DelMonte's No Nonsense Muscle Building site and decided what the hell I'll give it a try.

I bought his online book and have followed the advice since. I wouldn't say the weight training became easy, but the results came so much faster than even when I was a teenager and when you see muscle building so fast it inspires you to carry on. I bought Vince's book just over 2 months ago and I'm finally past the hard part of starting weight training and have to admit without the fast gains I don't think I'd have stuck things out long enough to start enjoying weight training again.

Really sucks getting old, I remember enjoying weight training about a week after starting, I had the usual muscle aches for the first week, but after that week felt great. This time I had those muscle type pains (lactic acid build up apparently) for over 4 weeks. I guess things get harder to start as we get old :-(
